Utilizing Undocumented Workers in Three Sentences

The federal Immigration Reform and Control Act prohibits employers from knowingly hiring, contracting, or retaining undocumented workers and requires employers to verify work-authorization status at the time of hiring.immigration undocumented worker

Immigration and Custom Enforcement, a division of the Department of Homeland Security, is tasked with enforcing this Act.

Violations of the Act may result in monetary penalties and fines as well as imprisonment.
